What is a pedigree ?
A pedigree is a document issued by a registered club, on which at least the following generations are entered: parents (sire and dam), grand-parents of the sire and dam, great-grand parents of the sire and dam. In some organisations (federations) 3-generations, 4-generations, 5-generations pedigrees are issued. At least there shall be 3 generations on the pedigree. The pedigree also includes tha name (including the cattery name) of the cat, the breed and the colour, the sex and when the cat was born, and the breeder (to which the cattery name belongs). The pedigree is stamped and certified by the club, which issued the pedigree.
